her heart. अभिहिता—( अभि + √धा + क्त. ) कथिता being
addressed The √धा ' to put on ' comes to mean ' to
say ' when preceded by the preposition अभि । Note
that धा changes into हि by ' दधातेर्हि ' पा० ७.४.४२ । मनो-
गतं—मनसि गतं मनोगतं ( हृदयस्थ भावं वरं वा ) the desire
or secret of her mind शंसितु—( √शंस् + तुमुन् ) कथयितुं
to relate , to disclose शशाक—समर्था अभूत् was able.

natural for a high born maiden that Parvati could not

नेत्रम् । अविद्यमानं अञ्जनं ययोः ( नेत्रयोः ) ते अञ्जने, विवर्तिते
अनञ्जने नेत्रे यस्मिन् कर्मणि यथा भवति तथा विवर्तितानञ्जननेत्रम्
