अध्याय - 1
व्यवहार नय से केवली की स्तुति -
इणमण्णं जीवादो देहं पोग्गलमयं थुणित्तु मुणी।
मण्णदि हु संथुदो वंदिदो मए केवली भयवं। (1-28-28)
जीव से भिन्न इस पुद्गलमय देह की स्तुति करके मुनि ऐसा मानता है कि मैंने
केवली भगवान की स्तुति की और वंदना की।
By making obeisance to the body, which comprises physical
matter and is different from the soul, the ascetic presumes that
he has adored and worshipped the Omniscient Lord.
निश्चयनय से केवली की स्तुति -
तं णिच्छये ण जुंजदि ण सरीरगुणा हि होंति केवलिणो।
केवलिगुणे थुणदि जो सो तच्चं केवलिं थुणदि॥
(1-29-29)
वह स्तुति निश्चय नय में उचित नहीं है क्योंकि शरीर के (शुक्ल कृष्णादि) गुण
केवली भगवान के नहीं होते। जो केवली भगवान के गुणों की स्तुति करता है, वह
परमार्थ से केवली भगवान की स्तुति करता है।
From the transcendental point of view (niṣchaya naya), this
adoration is not proper as the attributes of the body (like its
colouration) do not exist in the Omniscient Lord. Therefore, one
who adores the divine attributes of the Omniscient Lord truly
worships Him.
