removed or given up विलोत्तयष्टिप्रविलुप्तचन्दनम् । यष्टि—
a string of pearls of a necklace ( हार की लड़ियाँ—
हिन्दी ) प्रविप्लुत—( प्र+वि+√लुप्+क्तः ) wiped away ;
removed विलोलाभिःयष्टिभिः प्रविप्लुतं चन्दनं येन तम् which
wiped away the sandal-paste ( from her breast ) by
its tremulous strings of pearls An Adj of हारम्, the
necklace विमुच्य—( वि+√मुञ्च्+ल्यप् ) त्यक्त्वा having
given up This indicates Parvati's determination to
lead a simple and hard life in accordance with the
spirit of penance बालारुणबभ्रु—बालः ( नवोदितः ) चासौ
अरुणः ( सूर्यः ) बालारुण , स इव बभ्रु ( पिङ्गलम् ) which was
tawny like the morning sun बभ्रु—deep brown ;
reddish brown. The compound which is कर्मधारय is an
Adjective of वल्कलं and so is in Accusative Sing.
पयोधरोत्सेधविशीर्णसंहति । पयोधरः—धरतीति धरः (√धृ+
अप्) पयस ( दुग्धस्य ) धरः पयोधरः breasts उत्सेध—( उत्
+√सिध्+घञ् ) height ; elevation विशीर्णा—( वि+√शॄ
+क्तः) विघटिता broken or made less thick ; shattered.
Past Part of √शॄ to tear to pieces क्त is changed to
न and ultimately to णा । संहति—अवयवसंश्लेषः Compact-
ness ( वल्कल का गाढ़ापन—हिन्दी ) पयोधरयो उत्सेधेन
विशीर्णा संहतिः यस्य तत् पयोधरोत्सेधविशीर्णसंहति the
compactness of which was broken by the elevation
of her breasts It is also an Adjective of वल्कलम् ।
वल्कल—bark ; skin of a tree. बबन्ध—tied ; put on.
