आखुपर्णी¹ त्रिपर्णी च² द्विपर्णी चैकपर्णिका³ ।
तित्तिड़ी⁴ चोरिणी राज्ञा⁵ मेषशृङ्गी च कुर्कुटी⁶ ॥ ६ ॥
कृष्णपर्णी⁷ च तुलसी श्वेता च गिरिकर्णिका⁸ ।
एता नियामकौषध्यः⁹ पुष्पमूलदलान्विताः¹⁰ ।
दोलास्वेदः प्रकर्त्तव्यो¹¹ मूलेनानेन सुव्रते¹² ॥ ७ ॥
चण्डाली¹³ राक्षसी व्याघ्रो खङ्गारी गजकर्णिका¹⁴ ।
शङ्खपुष्प्यग्निधमनी¹⁵ लाङ्गली बालमोचका¹⁶ ॥ ८ ॥

(1) B reads आखुकर्णि. M reads मधुपर्णी. Both are gram. incorrect.
(2) B reads त्रिपत्नी च. M reads तिलपर्णी च. (3) B reads चैकपाषिका.
(4) K has तित्तिनौ. M has तित्तिरी. (5) B reads लच्मीः. M has
लक्षीः and राज्ञा. (6) B reads कुकुटी. K reads कर्कुटी. [All
meaning the same.] (7) K reads कृतपर्णि, which is gram. inc. M
reads कृष्णवर्णी. (8) M reads erroneously श्वेताली घिरिकर्णिका.
(9) B reads एता नियामिकौषध्यः. K reads एताश्च यामकौषध्यः, which is inc.
(10) K reads erroneously पृथग्मूला दलान्विता. (11) B reads दोला-
स्वेदाः प्रकर्त्तव्यो. M reads दोलास्खद प्रकर्त्तव्यः. Both are grammatically
incorrect. (12) Both K and M have a defective charana
मूलेनाने सुव्रते. (13) K and M read चांडाली, which is also correct.
(14) B reads षङ्गारी राजकर्णिका. K reads षट्कारि गजकर्णिका. M reads
षाखारी गजपर्णका. All the texts have ष as the initial letter. ष is pro-
nounced as ख by the up countrymen. We do not find any name as
षङ्गारि or षट्कारि or षखारी in any lexicon. Hence we have adopted a
word with ख as its initial. (15) B reads शङ्खपुष्या, which is rarely
found in the lexicons. (16) K reads बालमोचिका.
