70. After the description of the 5th plan, called उपपीठ, we would
naturally expect the descriptions of the 6th (उपपोठ), 7th (खण्डिल), 8th
(चण्डित), 9th (परमशायिक) plans, etc. in order. But the descriptions of
the 6th and 7th plans seem to be missing.
71. (1) I. इवमें for सर्वे suggested by J. and the other Mss. (2) A. F.
have got a lacuna for पदेषु ।
73. J. निष्फलं ।
74. It is not quite plain as to why these two plans were preferred
by the ancient architects (see note under 154).
75. (1) This line apparently should be read after line 154. See
note under 154.
(2) पदस्थितानां सर्वेषां seems to be the proper construction.
78. I. शून्य for शून, suggested by J. and the other Mss.
