From tables, we find θ = 85°-43' which Bhāskara takes
to be 85°-45'.

In the wake of this, Bhāskara tries to make amends
in the approximate formula prescribed to obtain the Sukla.
He prescribes addition of 4°-15' to the longitude of the
Moon in the bright half, and subtraction in the dark. In
between the moment of conjunction and the moment of
