possess such spots on their wings, at least have various coloured dots
on their bodies. The Satapatra birds are generally stout. They live
in houses and hear sweet words. They dance in various ways. Their
cry is cheerful, and they would become more stout in the spring
season. They are easily trainable. After training, they can speak a
few words. They like to live in cool and shady places. There are
many varieties of Darvaghata birds possessing the same nature, and
qualities in forests. The female birds too do resemble the male ones
in all respects. They are calm-natured birds and they can dance more
beautifully. Their utmost age is 2½ years. Owing to nature and
creed, they are considered to be Tamasa Adhama or inferior in 3rd
class.
